Dr. Veklich Vitaliy has had more than 20 years experience in
orthopedic surgery specializing in the use of Ilizarov techniques.
Dr. Vitaly has performed a wide variety of limb correction procedures
on more than 1000 patients.
Dr. Veklich graduated from the Vinnitsa Medical Institute in
1979. He since continued post graduate work at the Kiev Research
Institute of Orthopedic Trauma. Dr. Veklich has also completed
special training at the Kurgan Institute in Russia. In 1986
he defended a thesis on the subject "An apparatus method of
treatment for supracondyiar fractures of the elbow in children".
Dr. Veklich uses the Ilizarov technique to treat acute children's
trauma, children's orthopedics, adult trauma, and adult orthopedics.
He has developed his own techniques for purulent bone surgery.
Now he heads the orthopedic company, "Ladisten", in
Kiev.
Dr. Veklich has written more then 45 scientific articles and
now is completing a paper titled "Theoretical fundamentals of
a transosseous osteosynthesis " co-authored with Professor Stezula
V.I. These scientific articles have been published and reviewed
by surgeons around the world.
